Kew Gardens

Today after lecture we went to Kew Gardens. Evidently it has the oldest Victorian Style greenhouses in all of Europe! They also had this cool treetop walk were you could climb a bunch of stairs and walk along the tree tops and get a pretty amazing view of the whole garden.

I learned that the Kew Gardens was designed to look natural and follow flowing circular patterns but was actually all man made, in contrast to the geometrically designed gardens we have been seeing at previous castles from the 17th century. I'm leaving to go to the Airport to pick up my friend Franz so this will be interesting! I'm excited to have a visitor, but I feel bad for the poor boy sleeping on a floor for a day until my roomates leave for scotland. I guess I should figure out what to do with him this weekend! Maybe Ireland?? We shall see....
